With an average race RMSE of 4.2 points, AtlasIntel was the most accurate pollster of 2020 Democratic Primary races. AtlasIntel is followed by Emerson College with 5.0 points, Data for Progress with 5.9 points, and Monmouth University with 6.3 points.

AtlasIntel achieved the single most precise estimates in the key states of New Hampshire and California and had a strong performance across the board in spite of a primary season marked by difficult challenges: a candidate field marked by unprecedented fragmentation; unexpected candidate drop-outs; last-minute endorsements; high share of early voting and absentee ballots; and turnout uncertainty due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
